I am in LOVE with these curls. Her hair gets really curly when she first gets out of the bath. Unfortunately they mostly go away as her hair dries. I'll cherish them while I can!
To announce that we are expecting! Due April 20 (which is also my birthday) This ultrasound was taken at 12 weeks because it was a little hard to find the heartbeat. I just love my little gummi bear already! I'm feeling much better now that I'm out of my first trimester. We will have our 20 week ultrasound Nov. 30! Will it be a boy or a girl?
Since Halloween fell on a Sunday this year, everyone in my town went trick-or-treating on Saturday, the night before instead.
I spent lots of time and brain power this year trying to follow a pattern. It worked out well, and I learned some new sewing tricks.
Here is Little Red Riding Hood.
Unfortunately we didn't get any trick-or-treating pictures, but rest assured that she had a blast. She even walked part of the time. She is so cute and always said thank you when she was given candy.
We took Aislin down to The Red Barn in Santaquin, because we heard they had a fun hayride, pumpkin patch and yummy snacks. We heard right.
Aislin had so much fun on the long hayride to and from the pumpkin patch. She though the bumps were fun.
This is a maze with a little replica of the real Red Barn that has ice cream, cookies, caramel apples and lots of old fashioned goodies.
The maze was for kids, so I went in and Aislin wanted to come with me. She helped me find the way out.
We also got to be Jack-o-lanterns!
Aislin just thought it was so funny that there were all these pumpkins just laying around on the ground. She had to take a break from walking and sit.
Then she thought she could hold them, but soon realized how heavy they are.
It was cold and getting colder, so I just grabbed one that looked pretty round and that was Aislin's pumpkin. She wasn't picky though.
They had this huge truck of pumpkins you could pick from too, but we just threw Aislin up there, but no one wanted to take her home. Which is good, because we kinda like her... A lot!
One of the things Aislin really looked forward to doing once her casts were off, was going to the park. She loves the slide, but the swing even more. So we took her and she had a blast.
At this point she was still unable to walk with out assistance, but she was having so much fun rolling in the grass.
By the end of the 3rd day of no casts Aislin was able to stand and she could even walk around the furniture. Here she was "washing" dishes while I cooked dinner and Jordan did homework. She is such a good helper.
Aislin got her cast off today and we went and bought her some new clothes(her pants from July would not fit any longer.) She was such a trooper while her cast was getting cut off that we decided to get her a cake. She insisted on blowing a candle out. It was so nice to really give her a hug.
She thought it was soo funny that she put her shirt over her head. I told her that it wasn't lady like and she just laughed and laughed. Heaven help me when she's a teenager.
Aislin was so overdue for a nap, but kept saying she was hungry. She finally fell asleep with food in her mouth. Silly girl, anything to keep from taking a nap.
Aislin adapted well to her purple cast. She could crawl around and make a mess just as good as she could with out them. She is such a happy and silly girl.
She started to pull up on her bar when she wants to sit up or giver her stomach muscles a rest.
This is the day Gramma went back to Texas. This was a sad day for all of us. Aislin and Gramma got some last minute snuggles before Jordan took her to the airport.
We celebrated Aislin's birthday a day early this year on August 28. I just can't believe she is 2 already. She is an amazing part of our lives. She is a joy and an inspiration to me.
Here is her birthday cake. I bought it from Costco instead of making it myself this year. It was so good.
She really enjoyed it, since she rarely gets to eat sugar. Gramma Robin enjoyed it too.
It took her forever to open her presents because she was so meticulous as she unwrapped. Jordan did help her though.
She just loved all her toys, especially her Littlest Pet Shop animals.
Some things about Aislin now that she's two. This girl can be the sweetest kid ever. I know I am biased, but I think she is really smart. She knew all her ABC's and the sounds they make well before her birthday. She has been counting to 10 for a long time now. She has a big vocabulary and speaks very clearly. She speaks up to at least 12 word sentences. She can grasp concepts beyond her age. She loves to sing, and draw. She loves to learn.
We love her so much and look forward to watching her grow this next year.
