September 12, 2011 Getting stronger.

September 05, 2011 Boys

Oliver playing hard in his excersaucer. He loves to stand up in it and explore toys.

Jordan took Oliver with him to walk Harley and little man fell fast asleep.
It's tiring being cute all the time.

September 03, 2011 Straight Up!

I decided to straighten Aislin's hair one day while Oliver was napping. She was really excited to do it.
I set my flat iron on one of the lowest settings and Aislin sat still the whole time. It didn't take long before she was done. I think she looks so different and grown up. She thought it was so fun and kept looking in the mirror.

August 30, 2011 Aislin Celebrates.

Since Jordan was off the day after Aislin's birthday, that is when we celebrated. We had promised Aislin for a while that we would take her to Farm Country to ride a pony for her birthday. She was so excited. When we got there, the line was super long, so we had to wait for a long time. Aislin was getting impatient.

.

Oliver slept almost the whole time we were in line for the ponies.

Finally, it was Aislin's turn. I think she smiled the whole time.

Oliver doesn't like being in his car seat when he is awake, so I brought the Bjorn for him. He loves to look around and smile at everyone.

Later that day we had presents and cake for Aislin. Our friends Jann and Mark came over with their little girl Addy.

Aislin loves her new bike. It took some practice and encouragement, but she figured out how to pedal and keep going. We are hoping it will help build strength and flexibility in her hips.

This is the only picture I got of Aislin and her cake. I was too busy taking video I guess. I'm just glad I got one.

Aislin requested a pink cake months before her birthday. She would talk about it all the time. She couldn't wait for her pink birthday cake. You can't get more pink than this.

August 29, 2011 Aislin Is Three!

My sweet girl is 3! How can that be?
I am so grateful to have this ray of sun in my life. Aislin is too funny. She loves to "read" books and play with her buddies. She is so smart. She memorizes the books we read to her and will recite them almost word for word when she is reading them alone. She loves to learn and is enjoying our preschool. We are working on reinforcing letters and the sounds they make. We are working on counting and reading. Aislin loves watching Strawberry Shortcake movies. Her favorite dinner I make is Chicken and Dumplings. She requests it at least 3 times a week.
She loves her brother dearly and takes her big sister role seriously. She helps me out all the time and has shown no jealousy towards Oliver. She loves to read books to Oliver and to share her buddies with him. She loves to make him laugh and is good at it.
Aislin loves going to the play ground. She can now climb the ladder all by herself to go down the slide.
Aislin loves singing hymns. She sings "I Am A Child Of God" and " I Love To See The Temple" all the time.
I love this girl with all my heart and love to watch her learn and grow. She is an example of strength and endurance. I learn from her every day.

The day before we left the cabin, we wanted to get some family pictures. Here are my favorites.

August 19, 2011 Abe's Face

Uncle Abe decided to get rid of the animal growing on his face, so I had to take before and after pictures.

I wonder if Aunt Eli would be okay if he left it like this?

August 19, 2011 Concert

Aunt Lorraine and Uncle Tomas are so talented. They graced us with a mini concert on our last day. So awesome.

Then the kids took their turn at the mic. I'm just gonna say it now. I don't think we have any American Idol contestants in the family. At least not until Lorraine and Tomas have kids. But they sure were cute.

August 19, 2011 Lounging.

This was our last full day together at the cabin. The kids watched a movie in the morning, so we could start getting things organized to leave.

My poor Aislin started feeling sick on Wednesday. She was still feeling bad on Friday....poor girl, I hate when my babies are sick.

August 17, 2011 Birthday.

While we were all together, we decided to have a little birthday party for Aislin, Sequoia and Eliora. It ended up being a party for all. Kirstin brought dress up dresses for the girls to wear and be princesses.

Miriam got the party started.

The kids had a ball with the bubbles.

And with the balloons.

I love the joy on Cousin Maya's face here.

Cousin Roen wasn't sure what to think of all the goings on.

Sequoia making some noise.

Juniper looks all grown up after Aunt Lorraine straightened her hair.

Waiting for the pinata.

Uncle Tomas was such a help holding Oliver so I could snap some photos.

This was one tough pinata. Aislin didn't hit it very hard, but she sure gave it her best.

They finally got it broken with some help from Eli... There was a mad dash for the goodies and I didn't get any pictures. Since I had to nurse Oliver at the time.

Aunt Lorraine looking beautiful as always.

Uncle Tomas strumming the kids guitar.

We bought a delicious ice cream cake and the candles got blown out before Aislin could get in a chair to participate.

She was so sad, Aunt Kirstin lit a couple for her to blow out.

After the party we drove into town and let the kids play some more on a play ground. Aislin and Sequoia fell asleep on the way. They were too pooped from the party.
