6 Months!

I just can't believe it's been six months already. Aislin is learning more everyday. Here are some fun facts about Aislin:
She is such a spunky little girl and definitely has opinions. She will fuss if she drops a toy or if I walk away from her to do a chore that needs to be done. So I usually just bring her along and let her sit in the Bumbo, even though it is getting quite tight on her thighs...
She is still sleeping only 3 hours at the most at night, then wakes up every 2 hours until 8am, then we get up for the day.
She loves to play with her daddy's hair, there is just something about his curls that she loves to play with.
She is happy most of the time and will laugh at all kinds of random things.
She is unsure about strangers and will cry when most people hold her. She has her select few people that she doesn't mind.
She has started to say "Mama" with a purpose now. She just learned how to say it, and would just say it over and over when she cried, but now she has looked at me and said it once.
Jordan and I think she weighs about 19lbs now, although we won't know until I buy a bathroom scale.
We are still waiting on solids and probably will for a couple more months and then reevaluate. Since there are food allergies in the family, we though it best. Plus, I have done some research and found out that babies don't actually need anything besides Mama's Milk for the first year of life. She is obviously not starving to death and is happy as a clam to nurse.
She has become more dexterous and can pass toys from one hand to the other, and has for a while now.
Well, I think that's about it.

The Death of Me...

This is how Aislin will get whatever she wants from her Mommy and Daddy!

It seriously breaks your heart...

Sittin' Pretty

As of last Wednesday, Aislin can sit up by herself.

She still will fall over if she gets too excited or leans over too far to the side.

She definitely enjoys the new freedom this gives her.

ExerSaucer!

Grandma Robin brought Aislin an ExerSaucer when she came to visit from Texas.

It has become one of Aislin's favorite toys. It also lets me get some things done.

Play Date

My friend Amy brought her son Caleb for a play date.

Caleb is 3 weeks older than Aislin. He's a cute stinker. Amy and I are talking about an arranged marriage....but....

I don't think Aislin is down with that! She's so independent.

Aislin is 5 Months!

Aislin turned 5 months yesterday, and continues to be a joy to us.

Aislin is 18lbs. 3oz. and 25inches long. She is in the 97th percentile for her weight and 80th percentile for her height. She is one big chunk-o-love!
Here are some fun things about Aislin:
  • She babbles and coos and laughs all the time.
  • She is happy all the time, except when she's tired or hungry.
  • She is a Velcro baby and keeps an eye on me if I'm not holding her.
  • She loves her new activity walker that Grandma Robin brought her.
  • She puts everything and anything in her mouth.
  • She can now rollover from front to back.
  • She wakes up with a smile on her face
  • She still sleeps with us, and I wouldn't have it any other way
  • She loves the cats. They fascinate her.
  • She wakes up after 3 hours when she goes to bed, then every 2 hours until morning.
  • She is very alert and makes eye contact with everyone she meets.
  • She likes to grab at her toes, but it's hard, because her belly and mostly her thighs get in the way.
I could go on and on...
Jordan and I feel so blessed to have Aislin Rae in our lives. We can't remember how we lived without her.
We love you baby girl!!
