The day we all were waiting for finally arrived. After 7 months of surgeries and casts it was finally time for Princess Heavypants to retire the crown.
Aislin was ready with her buddies in hand and her "ear muffins" on her head. She was such a good sport as the loud saw cut through her cast.
She also had her Daddy by her side and that's the biggest comfort of all.
Girlfriend was so tough. Though she looked a little scared at times, she didn't she a tear at all.
Even when the nurse on the left started to twist her hip that had been stuck in one position for months. (I quickly reminded the nurse and she stopped.)
Finally, freedom. Aislin wasn't sure what to do. She couldn't really move her legs yet. She did have some itchy spots and kept trying to scratch them. Amazingly there weren't any surprises in the cast this time.
Dr. Hennessy is awesome. She was also due any day with her baby on this visit.
To celebrate we got Aislin a cake and some presents. Girlfriend deserved at least that.
Yay for getting to wear tights again!
This present Jordan picked out, Aislin wasn't sure about at first. It's a butterfly in a jar and when you tap the lid it flutters around.
She also got a baby doll. Since we talk about taking care of the new baby.
